On the basis of "Our Father"

Having attracted to Jesus’ long hours of prayer in solitude, the disciples requested the Master to teach them to Pray. Jesus taught them thus: "He said to them, when you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name,
Your Kingdom come,
Give us each day our daily Bread
And forgive us our sins
For we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
and do not subject us to the final test"
.

According to Mathew’s account, before giving this prayer, Jesus told them that their prayer should be more of contemplative nature than of mere vocal prayer by saying: "But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret" (Mt. 6:6).

It derives from this that to learn to contemplate "Our Father" is the best method of Contemplation. Therefore, our Contemplative Prayer Sessions will be based on the "Our Father".
